Privacy Policy

The UCEA Center for the Advanced Study of Technology Leadership in Education (herein “CASTLE”) is committed to respecting your privacy and protecting your personal information. Because we value your relationship with us, we want you to understand why we request information from you, your ability to access that information, and how we use that information.

What personally-identifiable information might CASTLE collect and what will CASTLE do with it?

CASTLE respects your privacy. You can visit the CASTLE website without identifying yourself or providing any personal information.

However, CASTLE can and may collect the following information from visitors to our website: domain name; name; information regarding what pages are accessed; information volunteered by you, such as survey information; e-mail address; and your preferred means of communication.

This site may use cookies for two purposes: to carry data about your current session at the site from one web page to the next, and to identify you to the site between visits. If you prefer not to receive cookies, you may turn them off in your browser or may set your browser to ask you before accepting a new cookie.

CASTLE uses personal information to understand your needs and interests and to provide better service to you. Once you choose to provide us with personal information, you can be assured it only will be used to support your access to CASTLE. The following four instances are times when you might choose to provide us with personally-identifiable information.

It also may include sharing certain information with other partners (subject to any confidentiality obligations that may exist), CASTLE students, or prospective clients.

Discussion boards / chat rooms

You might choose to participate in a CASTLE discussion forum or chat room. If the discussion forum or chat room is publicly accessible rather than private and password-protected, you should be aware that the information you provide there might be made broadly available to others, potentially inside or outside the CASTLE project team and partners.
